Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the event, we had a great night and were able to raise a lot of money for some excellent organizations!!

If you still have pledge packages to hand in, make sure you get in touch with me (in Toronto) or Kaija (in Waterloo) and arrange to drop those off this week. We are excited to calculate our totals but can’t do that until we have all the pledges.

Lastly, if there is anyone who wanted to participate but couldn’t end up coming but would still like to make a donation – that would be awesome. Again, get in touch with me or Kaija.

Check back for fundraising updates in the coming weeks.

Last Minute Toronto Updates

Hi Everyone,

We have had a last-minute room change for the University of Toronto speaker. The speaker has been moved to the Sidney Smith building, room 2117. She will still be speaking at 7:00 and there will be people and signs around to direct you all to the right place.

Looks like the rain may not come after all, which is awesome news! And the temp tonight will be about 5 degrees, which is the warmest it’s ever been for OITC. Don’t forget to dress appropriately, and if anyone has a tarp that they could bring that would be very much appreciated.

Only a few hours left! Just enough time to do a final push for pledges from friends, family, coworkers, and peers.

You are all amazing, thank you for your support with this event and we look forward to seeing you tonight!!

Out in the Cold Pub Night in Toronto!

Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Time: 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Location: O’Grady’s Tap and Grill, 171 College Street, Toronto (Upstairs)

Join us for a fun night out, and help support an amazing event! Support three amazing organizations: 416 Women’s Drop-In Centre, St. Clair’s Multifaith Housing (not faith based) and the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty – all addressing the issue of homelessness and poverty in Toronto.

There is going to be FREE FOOD, a 50-50 draw, and lots of fun times! A $5 donation is recommended, and will go towards the three organizations.

The event is in support of “Out in the Cold” – happening on Friday November 20th. Join us on Wednesday and on Friday!
